Illoura Lodge is a private club lodge conveniently located above the Smiggins Hotel on the southern slopes at Smiggin Holes. Restaurants, bars, shops, ski hire, lift ticket offices and more are all within 200 metres. The nearest lift is just 80 metres from Illoura, and being lower than the Lodge can be easily reached on skis in most conditions.

At an altitude of 1,650 metres, Illoura Lodge offers the ideal location for families, couples and singles to experience the attractions of the Australian high country for a skiing holiday, or a relaxed off-season vacation.

Illoura Lodge is located in Smiggins Holes in Kosciuszko National Park, in the heart of Australia's Snowy Mountains, approximately 500km south of Sydney. Smiggins Holes is one of the four ski resorts that combined to form Australia's largest ski resort, Perisher. The attractions of Perisher Valley,  Blue Cow, Smiggin Holes and Guthega, and the 47 ski lifts that cover the resort, can now be enjoyed on the one combined lift ticket, and for much of the ski season, you can literally ski from the door of Illoura Lodge to them all...and back again!

In the off-season, Illoura Lodge is the perfect location in which to enjoy the invigorating climate, outdoor sports such as walking, fishing and mountain biking, and the many other attractions of the Australian highlands.

Approximately 5.5 hours drive from Sydney by car, overnight parking is not permitted at the Lodge or the public car park during the winter ski season. You can leave your car at nearby Sawpit Creek or Jindabyne, from where there are shuttle services available, or alternatively, you can drive to Bullocks Flat on the Alpine Way, catch the Ski Tube to Perisher Valley, then take the free shuttle bus to Smiggin Holes. During the off-season, conditions permitting, you drive and park within 30 metres of the lodge. You can also come to Smiggin Holes by coach from Canberra (via the Ski Tube).

If you come by car, please remember that the National Parks and Wildlife Service requires that chains are carried at all times when you are in the Kosciuszko National Park during the winter season. You will also require a valid day pass ($29 per day per car) or yearly NPWS car pass (~$195).
